Our department held its annual "Hands-on Seminar on Basic Neurosurgery for Residents and Medical Students." This year, 12 enthusiastic residents and students participated.

This time, the themes were "Vascular Anastomosis under a Tabletop Microscope" and "Endovascular Treatment using EVE." In the vascular anastomosis session, the skills of those who had participated multiple times had improved dramatically, which greatly surprised all of the staff. In the endovascular treatment session, we conducted simulations that closely resembled actual procedures, such as coil embolization of aneurysms and thrombus retrieval using stents, allowing participants to experience firsthand the excitement of Neurosurgery.

After a serious practical training session, we deepened our relationships in a friendly atmosphere at a beer garden in Atsugi, enjoying cold beer and delicious food. I hope you were able to get a feel for the warm and welcoming atmosphere of our department.
