Hospital Director's Greetings

Tokai University Hospital is located in Isehara City, near the center of Kanagawa Prefecture, overlooking Sagami Bay to the south and surrounded by Tanzawa-Oyama Quasi-National Park to the northwest, in a rich natural environment. Since its opening in 1975, the hospital has embodied Tokai University's founding philosophy of "harmony between humanism and science," and has continued to work day and night in medical treatment, education, and research to provide the best possible medical care that is safe and heartwarming for patients.

As a designated treatment hospital, our hospital develops and provides a variety of advanced medical treatments, while also serving as a place for education and training for various medical professionals, including students and residents from the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medicine and Department of Nursing, and Faculty of Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering. We also have Emergency Medical Center and Center for Comprehensive Perinatal Medicine, and serve as a core medical institution for acute care in the Shonan to Western Kanagawa region, and are also the operating medical institution for the Kanagawa Doctor Helicopter, a wide-area emergency transport system. Furthermore, as a regional cancer treatment coordination center, we provide specialized medical care for malignant tumors.

In order to fulfill these various functions, we are constantly striving to provide advanced medical care by pursuing cutting-edge knowledge and technology, while also striving to quickly alleviate patients' anxieties and provide safe, high-quality medical care, including mental health care.

As the world of medicine enters a period of rapid change and technological innovation advances, Tokai University Hospital will continue to strive to fulfill its role and contribute to the local community and society, and we appreciate your continued support.
