Greetings
Nutrition is the intake of nutrients such as energy needed by the body (simply put, "eating"). Along with keeping warm (warming the body) and cleansing (keeping the body clean), it is considered one of the most basic forms of patient care. When I was a child, the warmth of the porridge my parents made for me when I was sick soothed both my body and my mind. Nutrition is a fundamental theme in human life, and, as the ancient saying goes, "food is medicine," it plays a major role in recovery from illness. Nutritional Support Center is considering nutritional support for patients through team medical care and training related to nutritional management. We strive to work with patients to provide nutritional support that will help them quickly improve and maintain their condition. Please feel free to contact us with any requests or opinions regarding nutrition.

Overview
Nutrition is fundamental to patient care and, as the saying goes, "food is medicine," plays a major role in recovery from illness. Nutritional methods have evolved over time, and now nutritional management is carried out as a team effort with the cooperation of many different professions. The Nutrition Management Center was established in Clinical Support Division on April 1, 2011, and was renamed Nutritional Support Center in 2014. Based on the philosophy that "nutritional management is the foundation of medical practice common to all treatments," the center's mission is to coordinate all nutritional management activities for inpatient and outpatient patients. Specifically, upon admission, multiple departments work together to create nutritional management plans that select the appropriate diet and nutritional regimen based on the patient's nutritional status, medical condition, and needs, ensuring appropriate nutritional therapy. We also help patients understand their dietary needs early on, allowing them to receive treatment with peace of mind. For high-risk patients with poor nutritional status, the Nutrition Support Team (NST) provides nutritional interventions and is involved in implementing nutritional care. The center is made up of a steering committee consisting of doctors, registered dietitians, nurses, pharmacists, rehabilitation technicians, and administrative staff, and strives to contribute to patient treatment by providing nutritional support to patients through team medical care and training related to nutritional management.
