On November 7th, at the request of Hiratsuka City Kanda Junior High School, we hosted a group of students at our Faculty of Medicine as part of a senior school visit.

On the day, an overview of the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing was given, and the students learned about the importance of medical care and the roles and responsibilities of medical professionals, including doctors and nurses. After the overview, they were given the opportunity to experience an actual medical setting by visiting the nursing department's practice room, an operating room equipped with the latest medical equipment, and the only doctor helicopter in Kanagawa Prefecture.

In response to requests from the local community, our hospital actively accepts visits from both the perspective of promoting understanding of medical care and nurturing future medical professionals, and we will continue to support opportunities for children to think about their future career paths.
