As the term of office of the current hospital director will expire on March 31, 2025, we would like to inform you of the next hospital director as follows.

(1) Name: Masahiko Watanabe (Professor, Department of plastic surgery Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, and current Director of the University Hospital)

(2) Term: April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2027 (reappointment)

2. Selection process

October 28, 2024

The "1st Tokai University Hospital Director Candidate Selection Committee" deliberated and decided on the selection method (either (1) public recruitment or (2) recommendation by committee members), the selection schedule, and the announcement of the establishment of the committee.

The selection method was decided to be "② Recommendation by the committee," and Masahiko Watanabe (current hospital director) was recommended as a candidate.

Notification to recommended candidates and acceptance of applications

January 8, 2025

At the "2nd Tokai University Hospital Director Candidate Selection Committee," applicant Masahiko Watanabe was reviewed based on his application documents and interview. As a result of the review, the committee decided to select him as the candidate for the next hospital director.

January 24, 2025

The Tokai University Board of Directors deliberates and approves the selection committee's review.
