Our hospital's policy on bloodless treatment
Notice
Our hospital is a university hospital that provides acute care, and patients who receive treatment there may require blood transfusions. Our basic policy is relative non-blood transfusion (we strive to provide treatment without blood transfusions whenever possible, but will use a transfusion when there is no other life-saving measure other than transfusion). However, we may not be able to accommodate requests regarding blood-free treatment. As a general rule, we recommend that patients who wish to receive absolutely non-blood transfusion treatment (no blood transfusions under any circumstances) transfer to another hospital, so we ask for your understanding and cooperation.
