Overview
The role of the Medical Medical Instruments Maintenance Office Medical Instruments Maintenance Office (ME Office) is to support medical safety from an equipment perspective. Located on the first basement floor of Building 5, Medical Instruments Maintenance Office staff manage, operate, inspect, maintain, and provide training on various medical devices used in the field (e.g., ventilators, infusion pumps, syringe pumps, vital signs monitors, electrocardiograms, defibrillators, and external pacemakers) to ensure safe Medical Instruments Maintenance Office ensures thorough inspection and maintenance, enabling safer equipment to be provided in the field. Highly skilled clinical engineers perform these tasks 24 hours a day. New medical devices are constantly being introduced to provide advanced medical care. It is essential for all staff to be familiar with how to use these new devices to provide safe and advanced medical care. We collaborate with all departments within the hospital that deal with medical devices, including Division of Postgraduate Education and Division of Nursing, to implement a medical equipment training program.
