Overview
Central Surgical Center (3rd floor) is approximately 100 x 50m in size, occupying two-thirds of the floor, and has 21 rooms. It has a total of 27 operating tables, including one hybrid operating room and an MRXO room in the Emergency and Critical Care Center on the first floor, and is available 24 hours a day for all surgical care within the hospital, including surgical departments, as well as central venous catheter insertion at the CVC Center and emergency surgery.
There is also one negative pressure room that can accommodate COVID-19 patients, and infection control measures are being implemented thoroughly. Perioperative Care Center is also located adjacent to the same floor, providing consistent perioperative management for surgical patients. In addition, the facility operates an eight-bed post-anesthesia recovery room, along with an Department of Anesthesiology consultation and pain clinic booth, and a preoperative consultation and interview room.
The equipment and specifications of each operating room are standardized, making them convertible so that they can accommodate the various surgical procedures of each department. In addition, a "one-shoe" system has been introduced, eliminating the need to change clothes or shoes when entering the operating room, allowing for smoother staff activities, improved work efficiency and productivity, and quicker turnover of surgical patients.
